Jack Newbury, Editor
incl. is an inclusive, free digital publication developed by
Jack Newbury Studio with the ethos of not excluding any section of society. With the aim to be accessible, incl. has been designed as AA accessible for its readers, with programmed alt text, large font and screen reader functions available.
Each week, we will be releasing free individual downloadable articles culminating in a full downloadable publication at the end. The first issue brings together a collection of practitioners from different backgrounds to discuss their work relating to inclusive, open-source and accessible topics.
We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This includes using larger font and colour contrast ratios for better readability for users who are visually impaired or colour blind on our website and articles.
Each week we will be releasing a new article which can be downloaded via the article section. At the bottom of each article page is a download button which will open the article and allow you to read it online or download it as a PDF.
All of our articles have been created with a predetermined setup, including alt text and a reading order to allow screen readers to translate text-to-speech for users who are visually impaired.
At incl. we are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. If you have any questions, comments or feedback please submit your message below. Otherwise, please feel free to email the address below.
